Privacy Policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
This policy covers the website at robhackney.com and the World Motorsport Roundup application operated by Rob Hackney (Melbourne, Australia).
The website collects nothing
robhackney.com is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, embeds no advertising or social tracking pixels, and has no account system, login, newsletter or contact form. Nothing you do on this site is profiled, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone.
The web server keeps standard access logs, as practically every web server does. These contain your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. They are used only to keep the site running and to investigate faults or abuse, are not combined with anything else, and are not used to identify you.
Embedded video
Some pages embed video players from YouTube and Vimeo. When a page containing an embedded player loads, that provider receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy, which is outside this site's control. No information is sent to them by this site itself.
The World Motorsport Roundup application
World Motorsport Roundup is a private tool that assembles a weekly motorsport highlights programme and publishes it to its own YouTube channel. It uses Google's YouTube Data API.
- It authenticates as the channel operator only — its own owner. It has no public sign-in and no other users.
- It requests only the access needed to upload and manage videos on that one channel, and reads nothing else from any Google account.
- The resulting access token is stored on the operator's own private server and is never transmitted to any third party.
- It does not collect, store or process personal information about viewers or about any other person.
Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your rights
Because this site holds no personal information beyond transient server logs, there is generally nothing held about you to access, correct or delete. If you believe otherwise, write to the address below and it will be dealt with in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting the application's use of Google user data will be reflected before they take effect.
