One search. Every register. A clean verdict.
Before you pay an invoice, Gumshoe checks the company behind it against roughly 30.8 million records across more than twenty Australian government registers and hands back a single verdict — instead of twelve browser tabs and a guess.
The thing it is really built to catch is the phoenix pattern: directors quietly dissolving one company and re-emerging under another, leaving the debts behind. Phoenix Shield watches an entire supplier ledger continuously and says something before the invoice lands, not after the money has gone.
Australian businesses lose around $2.6 billion a year to invoice fraud. Most of the signals that would have caught it were public the whole time — just spread across registers that don't talk to each other.
How it is built
SvelteKit front end, PostgreSQL, nginx on Oracle Cloud ARM. Separate ingestion pipelines per register, each with its own retry and reconciliation behaviour, because every one of them fails differently. Payments, continuous monitoring, alerting and a verified-badge flow for businesses that want to be checkable.
Designed, built and operated solo — including the parts nobody sees: backup verification that restores into a scratch database to prove the backups are real, and health monitoring that emails when a published thing quietly disappears.
Need something like this built? I take on a small amount of consulting and contract work — product strategy, full-stack build, or the unglamorous infrastructure underneath.
